Visit the Luigi Pirandello House Museum in Agrigento and discover the place where one of Sicily’s most celebrated writers was born and raised. The house was built in the late 18th century and became home to the Pirandello family in 1867, when they moved there during the cholera epidemic in Sicily. Inside, you can view documents linked to the most important moments of his literary career and gain a clearer sense of the author behind the Nobel Prize for Literature. During your visit, you can also see paintings that belonged to Rosolina, Pirandello’s sister, as well as works connected to Luigi himself and his son Fausto. After exploring the interior, continue outside along the path leading to the Pine Tree and the rough stone that has held the playwright’s ashes since 1961.
