Description
Discover Ortigia from a comfortable and panoramic perspective, sitting aboard the Happy Train tourist train. In 40 minutes, you can take in the whole island with a non-stop perimeter route, perfect for those who want to see a lot in a short time without walking.
The ride starts from the heart of Ortigia and follows the ancient perimeter of the island: along the way, the sea, the ramparts and the unmistakable profile of the historic center will pass before your eyes. You can admire the historic walls, the promenades, and a sequence of views of squares, noble palaces, and small bays illuminated by the Mediterranean light, perfect for taking photos even while comfortably seated.
To make the experience even more engaging, the multilingual audio guide accompanies the route with stories of myth and history: legends, curiosities, and anecdotes about the places you'll encounter along the way, so you can get to know Ortigia not only with your eyes but also through its memory.
With no intermediate stops, the tour is designed to let you relax and be guided: a true 'postcard in motion,' suitable for families, couples, and small groups. It's the perfect way to kick off your visit to Syracuse with a bird's-eye view, or to wrap it up with a moment of pure scenic emotion.
