Experience Catania’s authentic street food scene on a guided walking tour with morning and evening departure options. The tour begins at the Sicilying office before walking along Via Crociferi, famous for its Baroque churches. You will visit the Pescheria fish market to taste traditional salumi and cheeses, then choose between fried fish or horse-meat meatballs.
The route includes Piazza Duomo and Piazza Università, where you can try the traditional local drink, selz. The tour continues through Catania’s main markets, sampling iconic street foods such as cipollina and arancino.
Walk past Villa Bellini and the Roman amphitheater, concluding with a dessert choice of cannolo, granita, or cassatina. The evening tour differs by excluding the Pescheria and market visits, replacing them with a walk past the Monastero dei Benedettini and a glass of local wine.
