Noto, Modica and Ragusa: The Baroque Tour from Catania
134 ReviewsDiscover the heart of Sicily of the late Baroque period. Rebuilt after the devastating earthquake of 1693 it is part of UNESCO's World Heritage.
We came to the little restaurant Salirosso in Trapani by chance, with two extremely agile children in tow. The very kind owners welcomed us warmly, and soon also the kids felt at home (not happening often). Incredibly enough, they behaved like little angels - the entire evening....The young owners explained with great passion their local Trapanese dishes when they heard that we were coming from the other end of Sicily. We let them choose for us and had a wonderful dinner. Everything was skillfully cooked and presented, the wine was excellent and the price excellent....great value for money.
We spent an unforgettable evening, chatting and joking, having a yummy dinner, some good glasses of wine, the kids loved it, so sure we'll be back.
You come to Salirosso as a guest and leave as a friend.
P.S.: the vanilla panna cotta with caramel sauce and chocolate tablets is to die for....(see pic)
