Caffè La Piazza

As the Caffè La Piazza is located right in front of the Baroque Cathedral of Syracuse, it is always crowded, mainly with tourists who need a break from sight seeing. It is nice to sit in the shade, have a coffee or a cold drink, admire the Cathedral and when you have a look around the square you'll understand that it ranks as one of the most beautiful squares in the whole of Italy.

In the morning they serve breakfast, Italian breakfast, will say fresh croissants and other sweet pastries, cappuccino and espresso. You could also have a quick lunch and in the late afternoon an aperitif. There are also elegant indoor rooms for business lunches or quick counter service. 

By the way: it is a very romantic spot when it becomes dark.
