Description

2-day Stromboli trekking program: Day 1 Crossing Departure from the port of Tropea is on Wednesday at 7:45 a.m.-arrival to Stromboli is at 4 p.m. (passing first by the islands of Vulcano and Lipari with free time available). Arrival on the island After arriving on Stromboli, you will have time to check into your hotel and then head to the meeting point with the trekking guide. The climb begins around 5:30 p.m. (start time depends on evening sunset time), meeting time with the tour guide 30 minutes before. Trekking excursion You walk along a nature trail up the sides of the volcano to a height of 400 meters above sea level. After the first few minutes, the volcano will mesmerize you with its aura and the muffled sounds of explosions. Once you reach the vantage point at sunset, you will witness a breathtaking natural spectacle with a view of the crater, which has been erupting at an above-average rate since 2019. During the hike, we receive interesting geological, historical and naturalistic information from our dedicated volcano guide. The descent to the valley in the dark is also a special experience for all adventurers! Return to the hotel with overnight stay and breakfast included. Day 2 The island is also beautiful and ideal to explore on the second day: the small alleys of the village of St. Vincent offer photo opportunities at every turn, and you can enjoy a wonderful swim in the fine black sand volcanic beaches and bays hidden among ancient lava flows before departing for the return trip to Tropea in the late afternoon. Return journey Departure at about 7 p.m. from the port of Stromboli, arrival in Tropea at about 10:30 p.m., Vibo Marina at about 11:30 p.m. Excursions with children: The Stromboli volcano excursion is also an unforgettable experience for children. Children between the ages of 7 and 12 can participate in the hike if they are motivated, in good physical condition and used to walking.
