Description

Upon arrival at Casa Merlino, you will be welcomed by the tour guide who will accompany you on a tour of the olive grove to discover Sicilian nature, local traditions, and the production of organic extra virgin olive oil, all with a view of Mount Etna. After the tour, the Sicilian cooking class will begin with the chef, who will guide you step by step in the preparation of typical Sicilian dishes. After the cooking class, the tour guide will let you taste three 'Merlino' extra virgin olive oils, two single-variety (Nocellara Etnea and Brandofino) and one DOP Monte Etna, with technical explanations and lots of interesting facts. Finally, you will taste what you have prepared during the cooking class, along with other delicious and authentic dishes, during a 4-course lunch (appetizer, first course, second course with side dish, and dessert), including water, coffee, and local wine, all made with local products from the garden. At the end of the experience, you will also have the opportunity to purchase the oil you liked best during the tasting, as well as other products from Casa Merlino.
