Description

When you arrive at Casa Merlino, you'll be greeted by the guide who'll take you on a tour of the olive grove to discover Sicilian nature, local traditions, and the production of organic extra virgin olive oil. After the tour, the guide will let you try three 'Merlino' extra virgin olive oils, two single-variety ones (Nocellara Etnea and Brandofino) and one PDO Monte Etna, with a technical explanation and lots of fun facts. After the tasting, you'll sit at a table in the shade of the olive trees with a view of Mount Etna, where you'll have your picnic* in the middle of nature, which consists of a three-course lunch (starter, main course, and dessert), including water, coffee, and local wine, all based on local products from the garden. At the end of the experience, you'll also have the chance to buy the oil you liked the most during the tasting, and you'll get a Casa Merlino gadget. — *DISCLAIMER: If the weather's not cooperating, the picnic will happen inside the tasting/lunch room at 'Casa Merlino'.
