Your adventure will begin with a glimpse of the Neapolis Archaeological Area, an open-air museum that holds thousands of years old secrets of Syracuse. Our guide, totally dedicated to you, will lead you on a discovery tour of this place of unprecedented historical fascination, so that you can best grasp every facet of these two iconic sites of Sicily Starting at the striking Largo Anfiteatro, you will stroll inside the park and explore the ancient Latomie del Paradiso, the Grotta dei Cordari, and the majestic Greek theater, the symbol of the Neapolis Park and all of Syracuse. You'll admire the magnificence of the Cave of the Nymphaeum and the Altar of Hieron before reaching the imposing Roman Amphitheater, where gladiator fights and plays by the classics took place. From here you'll venture to the enchanting island of Ortigia, the beating heart of Syracuse's civilization, where art and culture come together in unique harmony. Your Walking Tour of Ortigia will begin at the Temple of Apollo, dating back to the 6th century B.C., and will take you to discover the historic Church of San Filippo Apostolo, Piazza Archimede and Piazza Duomo and the Cathedral.
