Description

Etna 3000 Meters is a small group tour, suitable for all people accustomed to walking. It includes the ascent by cable car and/or 4x4 bus and then a walking day trip. After completing the registration forms for the guided tour, we will proceed with the delivery of protective helmets and trekking shoes and with the check of each participant's equipment. We will then purchase tickets for the lifts that will take us to about 2850 meters above the lava desert. Once we reach our destination, we will begin the high-altitude trekking that will allow us to discover the wonders of the highest active volcano in Europe, such as recent lava flows, lava channels or caves, hot fumaroles with steam emissions, inactive side craters at high altitude, and the immense Valle del Bove. The tour lasts approximately 4.5 hours. The cost is €55 per person and includes a Sicilian volcano tour guide, liability insurance, trekking poles, protective mountaineering helmet, and trekking shoes. It does not include the cable car ticket (€52) and/or 4x4 bus (€28). The required equipment includes sportswear suitable for the season, considering the high altitude of the chosen tour (ask the tour guide for more information on the weather). A backpack, trekking shoes, long socks, long pants, a windbreaker, sweatshirt, gloves, neck warmer, sunglasses, sunscreen, water (1.5 liters per person recommended) and a packed lunch.
