Description

Embark on an adventure on the highest active volcano in Europe with expert volcanological guides and reach the true summit of Etna at 3300 metres. The tour will start at the meeting point 'Piano Provenzana Etna Nord', after receiving the necessary equipment for trekking (shoes, helmets, jackets, sticks) you will go up via 4x4 jeep until you reach 2930 metres. From this point the trekking begins to reach the Central Crater at 3350 meters. Enjoy the route walking on the lava flows of past eruptions, admire bombs and volcanic waste along the way. Once you reach the top, marvel at the sight of volcanic activities such as gas emissions and fumaroles; as well as the 4 active craters: South-East, Bocca Nuova, North-East, and Central Enjoy the panoramic view of Sicily up to the coast and, if the weather permits, up to the Aeolian Islands. After a lunch break, the descent begins to the jeep pick-up point, to return to the office and leave the equipment. The total exclusion time is 5-6 hours.
