Description
Departing directly from the beach of Isola Bella, board our boat for an unforgettable 2-hour journey along Taormina’s coastline and the historic waters of Giardini Naxos. This tour is designed for guests who want to relax, enjoy the views, and immerse themselves in history and legends, with a skipper who will share local stories, allowing you to fully experience the sea and scenery. Our first stop is the stunning Blue Grotto Bay, where you’ll see the famous rock formations featured in Dolce & Gabbana’s “Light Blue” commercial. If conditions allow, we will enter the grotto itself; otherwise, we will admire its entrance from the boat. We continue toward Atlantis Bay, pausing at a breathtaking natural pool carved into the cliffs, where you can spot the incredible outline of Sicily. Next, we sail past Elephant Rock and admire the 5-star luxury Hotel Atlantis Bay. From there, we glide into San Nicola Bay, the first Phoenician port built 5,000 years ago, beside a tiny island that once hosted a Phoenician fishing village. We then pass the ancient Phoenician stone bridge and stop at another natural pool with panoramic views of Taormina. Entering Mazzarò Bay, known as the “Bay of the Rich,” we admire its elegant beaches, Villa Sant’Andrea, Mazzarò Sea Palace, and the former Louis Vuitton villa. Continuing along the coast, we see Turtle Rock, the Stairway of the Gods, and the Coral Grotto inside Capo Sant’Andrea. We then reach the romantic Lovers’ Grotto, home to a secret tiny beach. Circling Isola Bella, we pass the princess’s house built into the rock, the private beach of Capotaormina, the Taormina sea stacks, Lion Rock, Cross Rock, and — weather permitting — enjoy views of Mount Etna. Next, we admire the Capotaormina Hotel’s solarium, its seawater pool, and the famed Le Grand Blue restaurant. We stop at Baia Villagonia for a swim in crystal-clear waters, enjoying Prosecco and fresh fruit while relaxing on board. From there, we sail into Giardini Naxos Bay, the site of the first Greek colony in Sicily, passing the historic porticciolo and the Church of San Giovanni. At the Nike Statue, guests can swim in front of this landmark. Along the coast, we pass the lava flows from Mount Mojo Alcantara, which shaped the land where modern Recanati now stands. Throughout the journey, we sail slowly, allowing you to fully relax, enjoy the sun, and take in the calm sea. Finally, we return to Isola Bella beach, concluding a 2-hour journey filled with history, legends, and breathtaking scenery.Includes
