Take a cable car (additional fee) to an altitude of 2500 meters, and walk along small paths created during the 2001 and 2002 eruptions. Visit a lava tunnel and the 2002 fracture where you can warm up in natural hot springs. Walk past the lava flows of the last paroxysms of the southeast crater, and arrive at an altitude of 3000 meters to take in wonderful views of the summit craters and the Gulf of Catania. After a short lunch break, visit the suggestive craters of the 2002 eruption. After a steep but easy descent on volcanic sand, reach a viewpoint over the immense volcanic depression of the Valle del Bove. Continue downhill to the cable car to return to the starting point.
