Description
Meeting point at Piano Provenzana Etna Nord. After a briefing and equipment check, we will travel in a special 4x4 off-road vehicle to an altitude of 2900 meters, where the trekking will begin. The volcanic area, the beautiful landscape, the view of northern and eastern Sicily, the Aeolian Islands, and the Calabrian coast will make the climb even more exciting. We are on the wildest and least known side of Etna, far from the usual tourist tours. Crossing lava fields, our trekking will take us to the summit area of the highest active volcano in Europe. The duration of the stay always depends on volcanic activity and weather conditions. After admiring the impressive view of the summit area, we will begin our descent through the sand gullies that will lead us to the Pizzi Deneri area, where you can enjoy a majestic view of the Valle del Bove. We will return to the starting point at Piano Provenzana in 4x4 off-road vehicles. In accordance with the laws governing trekking in the summit area of Mount Etna, it is important to inform our customers that our trekking may be modified depending on the volcanic activity of Etna.Includes
