The Catania Chamber Orchestra specializes in the revival of the Italian classical and operatic tradition. Formed by orchestral professors who have graduated from the most prestigious Sicilian conservatories and by the most promising young people from Catania who have distinguished themselves in the main opera and symphonic prizes at the national and international level, the Catania Chamber Orchestra offers an interesting cycle of concerts for orchestral ensemble and voices in this 2025 Musical Season. The concerts take inspiration from the work of Catania's leading composer, Vincenzo Bellini, and then transport the viewer into the context of Baroque and opera production between the 18th and 19th centuries, a period in which the Catania composer was working and from which he took inspiration. This concert pays homage to Vincenzo Bellini and Antonio Vivaldi and his Four Seasons in an unforgettable journey through great classical music and Italian opera The concerts will be hosted in the prestigious and monumental Church of the Badia di Sant'Agata, erected next to the Cathedral where Maestro Bellini rests. The Badia di Sant'Agata, in addition to its precious and perfectly preserved interiors, is distinguished by a visitable panoramic terrace that can be accessed by an internal elevator and from which one can enjoy a unique panorama of the marvelous city of Catania.
