Eremo Della Giubiliana
Sicily
A few kilometres south of Ragusa, among carob groves and stone walls, you can spend extraordinary holidays at the Eremo Della Giubiliana. Dry-stone walls protect the courtyards and inner structure, white towers overlook the plateau that gently slopes towards the sea, and on clear days you can see the African Coast. The estate dates back to the 12th century. There are white stone arches, polished peach-stone floorings, antique Sicilian furniture in the sitting area. The garden boasts aromatic herbs, blooming plants and fruit trees, a small swimming pool, a fountain and a necropolis dating back to the 5th century. Candle-lit dinners take place in a big dining room, wine tastings and small meetings are held in the old crypt. The former friars cells are now exclusive suites. For guests arriving with their own airplane there is a hangar.
Exclusivity has a name: Eremo della Giubiliana
