As the evening unfolds, ascend to the Rifugio Sapienza at 1,910 m (6,266 ft) on the southern slopes of the volcano. Walk along unique trails weaving through recent lava flows and ancient extinct craters, while your guide shares fascinating stories of Etna’s geology and history.
