About Stromboli
Stromboli is an active volcano known for its frequent Strombolian eruptions of lapilli, ash and magma occurring roughly every 15 to 20 minutes. The coast features black pebble and sand beaches. The village road leads to the Church of San Vincenzo, overlooking Strombolicchio, a remnant of the oldest volcanic cone in the Aeolian Islands, now home to the island’s lighthouse.
