Description
Palermo was born from the sea. And the best way to discover it is by sailing.
There is a Palermo that can be explored on foot, among historic markets and monuments. And then there is a Palermo that can only be discovered from the sea: the one that for over 2,700 years has welcomed Phoenicians, Greeks, Arabs and Normans, becoming one of the most important harbors in the Mediterranean.
Aboard Sikelìa, an elegant sailing yacht, we will take you on an exclusive experience reserved for a maximum of 8 guests, where time slows down and every detail is designed to let you experience the sea with authenticity, elegance, and relaxation.
We will set sail from the historic Cala di Palermo to sail past the Foro Italico, Monte Pellegrino, the Grotta della Regina, the Addaura, Mondello, and the Capo Gallo Natural Reserve. As you sail, you will discover hidden bays, crystal-clear waters, and some of the most spectacular views of the Sicilian coast.
The skipper will not only be the captain of the boat, but also the narrator of a journey through the history of Palermo. As the wind fills the sails, you will hear the story of the city's origins, the ancient routes of the Mediterranean, the legends of Monte Pellegrino, and the secrets kept by this coastline.
During the day, you will have time to swim, snorkel, use the SUP, or just relax and let yourself be cradled by the sea.
At lunchtime, our chef will prepare a menu on board inspired by the best of Sicilian culinary traditions, using fresh ingredients and local products, accompanied by selected wines and beverages.
But this experience also tells another story.
Sikelìa Sailing Experience was created within TED Formazione ETS, a non-profit organization that has been involved in vocational training and job placement for young people for years. By choosing this experience, you are helping to support educational projects and professional development programs, because we believe that the sea can also be a tool for inclusion, culture, and opportunity.
