- Climb an active volcano with an expert guide
Description
Embark on this climb and see the peak of Etna in all her majesty. The departure is from the south side of the volcano, north of Nicolosi. First, you will take a cable car and then a special off-road minibus to reach 2900m above sea level, where, with an authorized volcanological guide, you will walk until you reach 3300 m. From this altitude, you can admire the impressive summit of Etna and it's active craters. During the descent, it will be possible to explore the craters of recent eruptions. The descent will be on foot, in the company of the guide from 3300m to 2500m, where you will board the cable car again. This is a small group tour and is also dependent on fine weather conditions and the volcano being calm. It lasts about 5 and a half hours and requires a reasonable level of fitness.Includes
